Steve Strand
Personal Trainer and Youth Program Instructor

My name is Steve Strand, and I wear many hats: Certified Functional Strength Coach, Social Worker, Motivational Speaker, and Athletics Coach. At the heart of everything I do is a deep passion for working with the youth in our community.
That passion comes from a personal place. Growing up, I was a kid who didn’t always have it all together. Because of that experience, I’ve found my purpose in paying it forward. I’ve dedicated my life to helping young people grow both mentally and physically, using the lessons I’ve learned along the way.
My fitness journey started during my time playing college football at Fort Hays State and has continued through years of coaching. I spent three incredible years coaching football at Grand Island Senior High under Coach Tomlin, and I now lead Project Grit at the gym. The program focuses on helping youth get bigger, faster, and stronger while building discipline and resilience.
Outside the gym, I’m a proud husband to my wife Kalee and a proud dad to our two amazing kids—a boy and a girl. When I’m not coaching or lifting, I love spending time with family and friends, getting outdoors to hunt and fish, and feeding my love for sneakers. Oh... and it’s always GO BIRDS!
